DANCEHALL acts Mavado and Sizzla are featured on American rapper Rick Ross’ new album Mastermind, which was released last week by Ross’ Maybach Music Group label.
Sizzla and Mavado appear on the track Mafia Music 3, produced by Roosevelt ‘Bink’ Harrell III.
It is not the first time Ross has worked with Mavado. They collaborated in 2011 on the song Welcome to My Hood which featured DJ Khaled, Ace Hood, Fat Joe, Game, Jadakiss, Twista, Birdman, Busta Rhymes, Wacka Flocka and Ludacris.
Mastermind is the 38-year-old Ross’ sixth album. It contains 16 tracks including collaborations with hip hop heavyweights Diddy, Jay Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne.
The album debuted at number 11 on the United Kingdom Pop Album chart, and number two on the UK R&B Album chart.
Ross’ most successful album to date is his 2006 debut Port of Miami which has sold over 900,000 copies.
He has performed twice in Jamaica. The most recent occasion was in June 2012 on the Heineken Best of Summer concert at the LIME Golf Academy in New Kingston.
Mastermind is distributed in partnership with Slip-n-Slide Records and Def Jam Recordings.
