Sylvester Stallone Reportedly Lawyers Up Over Rape
Allegations
Just a yesterday, the woman who accused Sylvester Stallone of rape filed a report with the Santa Monica Police Department, and today, it looks like he has wasted no time lawyering up. Stallone was seen earlier this afternoon at the law offices of Blair Berk with his civil attorney Marty Singer, TMZ reports. Berk is helping Stallone file a police report against his accuser.
The alleged rape occurred in 1990, which puts it outside California’s 10-year statute of limitations. Authorities are still moving forward with an investigation. As Lt Rodriguez explained to Reuters, California’s complex statute of limitations for criminal prosecution of sexual abuse could mean that the incident will be taken to court. Stallone categorically denies the allegations of having raped the woman in his Santa Monica office 27 years ago and denies that any such meeting occurred. He called the claims “completely fabricated.” However, through his attorney, he does admit that he knew his accuser, and that they spent three days together during a movie shoot in Israel in 1987. Stallone also asserts that the woman was not a minor at the time, he was single, and there was no criminal sexual activity.
