Jah 9 off to Europe

NEO-ROOTS singer Jah 9 is off to Europe for a handful of festival  dates. She says she is looking forward to performing live there,  given the  positive response to her songs.

“It’s important to see the reaction of what has become my core  audience. Rory’s been telling me that there’s some intensity building there for  my album,” Jah 9 said in a recent interview with Splash.

Rory is Rory Gilligan of Stone Love fame who produced Jah 9’s  debut album, New Name.

New Name and Avocado, both produced by Gilligan; Warning by Don  Corleon and the ganja ode Steamers a Bubble, are the songs Jah 9 says are  popular among European reggae fans.

Steamers a Bubble is produced by Franklin Irving.

Jah 9 is scheduled to perform at Reggae Jam Festival in Osnabruck,  Germany (August 2-4); and Reggae Geel in Belgium (August 2-3).
